BDO’s social program – BDO Counts – embodies our commitment to corporate responsibility, organizing and supporting national and local initiatives alike. Helping people thrive means helping our communities thrive. From nationwide programs to local service initiatives, BDO Counts gives our people the opportunity to give back to their communities wherever – and however – they choose.

Many of our talented people dedicate their time and expertise to serving our communities, often in leadership roles, participating on boards, raising donations, and volunteering countless hours across a wide variety of charitable and civic organizations. We take pride in their passion and commitment.

Through BDO Counts, we organize several larger-scale initiatives, which leverage the reach and scope of our national network, while also fostering teamwork and collaboration among our offices throughout the country. Just a couple examples of our national initiatives include our annual Week of Service and Good Deeds initiatives.

Week of Service: BDO’s bi-annual Week of Service is a firm-wide effort that takes place simultaneously in BDO communities across the country. Over the years, more than 1,000 BDO professionals have volunteered thousands of hours and raised substantial dollars for worthy causes that are important to their local communities.

Good Deeds: When BDO USA celebrated its 100th anniversary, we wanted to give back to the communities that have supported the firm throughout its history. Our goal was to achieve at least 100 good deeds – activities or events that benefit worthwhile causes – throughout BDO’s centennial year. The program has since continued, with local offices and individuals performing Good Deeds across the country. To date, we have volunteered thousands of hours and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to worthy causes across the country.
