CHICAGO, June 24, 2026 – BDO USA, one of the nation’s leading accounting and advisory firms, today announced its designation as a 2026 honoree of The Civic 50® by Points of Light – the world’s largest organization dedicated to increasing volunteering. The award recognizes the top community-minded companies in the United States as determined by an annual survey, and this is BDO’s second year listed.

The firm’s social impact program, BDO Counts, empowers every professional to give back. With a blend of nationwide programs and local service initiatives, BDO Counts is employee-driven and focuses on four cause areas chosen by its people: Children & Youth, Education & Literacy, Human Rights and the Environment. In 2025, over 4,500 BDO professionals supported their communities through volunteerism, board service, charitable contributions and more. 2025 also marked the firm’s first year collaborating with its cause partner, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, impacting over 350 youth and families nationwide.

We are proud to be recognized by Points of Light for the second consecutive year. For nearly 20 years BDO Counts has inspired our people to make a difference, and the program has continued to evolve to meet the needs of our people and communities. This honor is a testament to our people’s passion and commitment to driving positive change.

For more than a decade, The Civic 50® has served as the nation’s leading corporate social impact recognition program, celebrating excellence in employee volunteering, community investment and social impact strategy. Points of Light’s comprehensive survey for companies with annual revenues of at least $1 billion allows corporate social responsibility teams to track purposeful volunteering, giving and community engagement insights.

“Today’s leading companies understand that community engagement is more than a program, it’s a reflection of their commitment to advancing social impact in ways that strengthen both their company and the communities they serve,” said Jennifer Sirangelo, president and CEO of Points of Light. “BDO demonstrates how to embed purpose into the employee experience, build authentic relationships with communities and use business as a force for good. We’re proud to honor them with the 2026 Civic 50 award.”

The survey includes quantitative and multiple-choice questions that inform the scoring process. The Civic 50® remains the only survey and ranking system focused exclusively on measuring corporate community engagement.
