Michael Wright

Michael Wright is a senior managing director within BDO’s Third Party Attestation practice. He has more than 20 years of professional experience in managing cybersecurity, privacy, and information technology (IT) risk. He has assisted client organizations  performing cybersecurity reviews, project risk reviews, IT risk assessments, IT audits, and privacy assessments for a variety of government contractors. He has extensive experience in working with industry frameworks and standards, including but not limited to those found within AICPA SOC (SSAE/TSC), NIST CSF and 800-series, ISO 27000 and 31000, FERPA, GDPR, HIPAA, HITRUST, CMMI, COBIT, COSO, PCI DSS, CSC CIS, and PMI PMBOK.

In addition to service delivery, Michael leads and actively participates in thought leadership initiatives and activities, including webcasts, webinars, live presentations, and training at conferences and industry events, primarily focused around cybersecurity  and privacy regulatory requirements and leading practices for achieving compliance.
