BDO USA Named to 2025 Best Workplaces in Chicago by Fortune Media and Great Place To Work

Press Release alarm

CHICAGO, JUNE 12, 2025 — BDO USA, one of the nation’s leading accounting and advisory firms, today announced it has been honored by Great Place To Work® and Fortune magazine as one of this year’s Best Workplaces in Chicago. This is the firm’s first time being named to this prestigious list, coming in at No. 4. Earning a spot means that BDO has surpassed rigorous benchmarks, establishing itself as one of the top 15 workplaces among large companies headquartered in Chicago.

“In Chicago and across the country, BDO is made up of individuals who live our core purpose of helping people thrive every day,” said BDO USA Chief People Officer Cathy Moy. “Together, we’re committed to fostering a culture of trust, growth and inclusivity for all.”

To determine the Fortune Best Workplaces in Chicago™ list, Great Place To Work collected nearly 62,000 confidential responses from employees at eligible companies. Companies are ranked based on their ability to build trust with leaders, colleagues and the overall organization.

“Our firm has a rich history in Chicago, beginning more than 100 years ago,” said BDO USA Tax Market Managing Principal Matthew Panzica. “I am proud to be a part of that history, working alongside a team who brings a spirit of innovation and exceptional service to our clients in the region.”

The Best Workplaces in Chicago list is highly competitive. Survey responses reflect a comprehensive picture of the workplace experience. Honorees are awarded based on their ability to deliver positive outcomes for employees regardless of role or status within the organization. To be eligible for the list, companies must be Great Place To Work Certified™, have at least 10 U.S. employees, and be headquartered in the Chicago region.

“Congratulations to the Fortune Best Workplaces in Chicago,” said Michael C. Bush, CEO at Great Place To Work. “These companies prove that prioritizing people leads to better performance and that leaders who invest in their people are rewarded with more sustainable and profitable businesses.”

Honors such as this highlight BDO’s award-winning, people-first culture. Last year, the firm was lauded by U.S. News & World Report as one of the Best Private Companies to Work For and by Newsweek as one of America’s Most Loved Workplaces. Recently, it was named to the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For® in 2025.
