Executive Summary

Mr. Amorosso began his public accounting career in 1978 with a focus on accounting and auditing.  He serves as the Office Managing Partner for BDO Norfolk. He provides business advisory services to clients in areas relating to development and review of internal control procedures and financial accounting systems. He also assists clients with negotiating and arranging financing, purchase and sale of closely held businesses, and litigation support. Ed regularly advises clients on cost accounting systems, review and analysis of cost returns, review and analysis of overhead and general and administrative (G&A) calculations.
Ed has been involved with employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) for over 20 years, and has performed feasibility studies and assisted with the development and implementation of new ESOPs. He is also active with the accounting industry professional organizations, having served as a member of the Professional Ethics and the Management of an Accounting Practice committees of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Ed is active in his community and has served as an officer and director of many civic and charitable organizations.
