BDO invites you to an exclusive, invitation-only program. The Financial Executives Forum is a unique educational and networking opportunity that will highlight top-of-mind business issues facing financial executives and business leaders today.

Panel: Evolving Role of the CFO
Today’s CFOs are expected to play diverse roles and be strategic leaders, balancing the demands of the customer, the business, and operations, all while simultaneously navigating changes in technology, managing risk and combatting the war for talent. So what does it take to be a stand-out CFO amidst a complex environment and rising expectations? What skills should strategic CFOs possess and how do they effectively respond to market and industry challenges? This panel will explore answers to these questions and provide an opportunity to hear different perspectives from the various roles that regularly interact with the CFO.

Corporate and International Tax Reform: What to Expect
Over the last several years, there has been a movement in the United States for tax reform. One of the themes relating to corporate tax reform has been moving away from a worldwide tax system to a territorial tax regime. This presentation will discuss recent proposals for corporate tax reform and the implications of such reform for multinational corporations.

Panel: Secure Systems and Data - What Does That Mean?
Connectivity is almost everywhere, and in fact, people expect to be connected anywhere, anytime.  Access to large volumes of data is available within an organization and at times to others outside of the organization.  Ease of connectivity and access to information results in unauthorized capture and use of information.  This can create operational, legal, and financial issues for a company.  A term used frequently today to address this issue is “cybersecurity.”

Objectives:
  1. Learn methods for identifying risks and vulnerabilities, as well as possible remediation efforts to improve the security footprint within the company.
  2. Gain insights into optimizing cybersecurity strategies and planning for the “what could go wrong” scenario.
  3. Understand components of a cybersecurity risk management program, including governance and operating processes.
