Beth Baum, J.D.
Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.
Beth is Area Assistant Vice President, Compliance Counsel, for Gallagher Benefit Services’ Eastern Region Compliance team. She joined Gallagher in March 2015.

Prior to joining Gallagher, Beth was a Senior Employee Benefits Law Specialist with the U.S. Department of Labor, Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) in Washington, DC. She worked in the Office of Health Plan Standards and Compliance Assistance, developing regulations and other interpretive guidance related to group health plan requirements.
Paul Hammerschmidt, CPA, PFS 
As Tax Director at BDO, Paul heads the Nonprofit Tax Practice for BDO’s New York Metropolitan area. He provides his clients with a broad range of services, including tax compliance, tax planning & strategies, audit representation, and the development of compliance policies for organizations.

Paul has more than 30 years of public accounting experience. He has lectured before the Nonprofit Organizations Committee of the New York County Lawyers’ Association, the Suffolk County Bar Association and the New York City Bar Association.

Mike Conover

Mike is the Senior Tax Director of Compensation and Benefits practice of BDO’s North East region. He has focused on providing consulting advice and assistance to clients on matters pertaining to compensation as well as related human resource issues for more than twenty-five years. Mike’s has experience in all phases of compensation consulting including: competitive assessments, plan ‘audits’, plan design, plan documentation, training / communications and ongoing support for plan oversight and administration.
Over the course of his consulting career, he has worked with virtually every type of organization and addressed all forms of direct compensation. Mike has extensive experience working at all levels of client organizations with board members, senior executives and employee task forces.
