James Doyle

Jim has more than 25 years of experience in public accounting and joined BDO in November 2012. Having spent several years in the real estate industry after graduating from Widener University, Jim joined a Philadelphia regional firm where he rose to the position of Chair of the Assurance Department and became a member of the firm’s executive committee.

Jim works with a diverse client base, made up of SEC registrants, privately owned companies, private-equity backed family owned business, and nonprofit organizations. He also works with several globally based companies. Jim's clients operate in diverse industries such as professional services, technology, manufacturing and distribution, retail, investment funds/specialty finance, and construction and homebuilding.

In conjunction with working companies (the plan sponsors), Jim has worked on numerous EBP audits including traditional 401(k), 403(b), 11ks, employee stock ownership as well as various defined benefit plans.

Jim’s long and diverse background in the profession has made him an asset to his audit clients, as well as allowed him the opportunity to consult for non-audit organizations when various issues such as financing, grants, operational structure, accounting systems, or entity mergers arise.
