2018 Will Test Retail’s Online & In-Store

While retail executives predict continued bankruptcies and disruption ahead, according to the 2018 BDO Retail Compass Survey of CxOs, this year will test retailers’ ability to carefully scale in-store and online experiences tailored to their customers’ demographics. While dollar stores may not need to invest as much in e-commerce, traditional retailers will continue to strengthen their digital and delivery capabilities. Looking ahead, retailers have to take a hard look at their investment strategies to assess how they can survive in this binary environment.
