In what is likely the most significant state tax decision in more than 50 years, the South Dakota v. Wayfair U.S. Supreme Court decision will have broad implications for states, e-commerce sellers, digital service providers, consumers, as well as buyers and sellers of businesses.

BDO USA, LLP invites you to learn about the implications of South Dakota v. Wayfair on sales and use tax compliance requirements, which states are currently requiring registration based on economic threshold only issues to think about before and after registering to collect sales/use tax, and the implications of the decision on state income/franchise tax filing requirements.

Christian has over ten years of experience advising business and individual clients in multi-state income/franchise tax matters, which include, but are not limited to, multi-state income/franchise tax compliance, nexus analyses, apportionment studies, and state tax provisions. In addition, Christian has extensive experience representing business and individual clients before multi-state taxing authorities in tax examinations and administrative appeals processes. Christian has also advised clients on broad array of federal and state credit and incentives opportunities, with a primary focus on California state credits.
 
Ken Choi, CPA

Ken has over 20 years of experience in sales and use taxes, with a focus on indirect taxes. Ken has provided extensive sales/use tax consulting services to clients in wide variety of industries, including software, manufacturing, motion picture, technology, telecommunication, and others. Prior to serving clients in public accounting, Ken was a tax auditor with the California State Board of Equalization and Washington State Department of Revenue.
