Being familiar with this new regulation and understanding how it will impact financial reporting and decision-making is key for businesses where leasing (including embedded leases and service arrangements which now may qualify as leases under the new guidance) is a significant piece of the overall operating model. These changes will certainly impact your balance sheet, but will also have potential implications around debt covenants, system needs, and lease-versus-buy decisions.
We will summarize the new leasing guidance and provide practical examples to assist you in implementing the new standard for your company and deliver our observations on key concepts and offer insight into how certain aspects of the new standard compare with prior U.S. GAAP.  CoStar Group, the leading provider of commercial real estate information and technology solutions, will also give an overview of the critical systems implications that need to be considered.
Our roundtable is hosted by local BDO office leadership, Vince Stasiulewicz, Audit Director, and Mark McDonald, Director of CoStar Group.
