Brian McCuller

Brian is the Ohio/Tennessee Valley Market Managing Principal. He is an attorney and CPA with over 26 years of experience serving clients in tax matters. Focusing on multi-state taxes, he has advised Fortune 500 as well as middle-market companies with multi-state and multi-national operations. Brian focuses his time on reviewing business models and tax-specific issues to help clients improve compliance and take advantage of opportunities. Brian has served diverse industries including manufacturing, financial services, retail, technology, and e-commerce. He is a frequent speaker and author on the topic of multi-state taxes.

Prior to joining BDO, Brian was the Tax practice leader for Tennessee-based LBMC, a top-50 CPA firm. Brian was a managing director in the CBIZ National Tax Office for three years. In this role, he provided state and local tax services to CBIZ accounting and tax offices nationwide. Brian was the partner in charge of state and local tax services for 12 years with Thompson Dunavant, PLC, a local CPA firm based in Memphis, TN. Brian began his career in 1993, and held positions with Arthur Andersen, LLP, and Ernst & Young, LLP in Atlanta, GA and Memphis, TN.
