CHICAGO, March 2, 2026 − BDO USA, one of the nation’s leading accounting and advisory firms, today announced continued growth momentum, building on fiscal year 2025 revenue of $3.018 billion. Fueled by growing client demand, strategic combinations, and disciplined investment in people, technology, and capabilities, the firm expects to surpass key performance targets by the end of 2026. BDO is advancing a multi-year strategy that reflects the firm’s scale today and the expected impact of recent and planned expansions.
In 2025, advisory, assurance, and tax grew by 3.2%, 2.2%, and 7.7%, respectively. BDO USA has more than 85 offices across the country, with over 14,000 total professionals.
Leadership Transition
In July, BDO announced that Matt Becker, most recently the firm’s national managing principal of tax, was ratified by principal-wide vote to serve as the firm’s next CEO, effective July 1, 2026. Becker will succeed Berson, who will retire June 30, 2026, following a tenure defined by a people-first culture, purposeful innovation, and significant growth achieved through a balance of strategic expansion and sustained organic momentum.
Shared Becker, “As BDO enters its next phase, we are focused on scaling with purpose. Our expanding capabilities, growing client relationships, and dedicated teams reflect a firm that is investing in our collective future. We are building a firm that deepens client impact, supports our people, and positions BDO for continued expansion.”
It was also announced that Demetrios Frangiskatos assumed the role of national managing principal of assurance, effective July 1, 2025, and Mat DeMong assumed the role of national managing principal of tax, effective January 1, 2026.
Strategic Expansions
BDO expanded its capabilities and market presence in 2025 through two combinations. In November, BDO completed its largest strategic expansion to date with the addition of HORNE LLP, welcoming more than 1,300 professionals and significantly strengthening the firm’s footprint in the South and Southeast while deepening its knowledge in disaster recovery and federal program compliance. Building on this integration, BDO launched BDO Government Services, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary dedicated to serving state and local governments across the continental U.S. and Puerto Rico and supporting federally funded program operations, delivering program design and administration, compliance, funding coordination and technology solutions in areas including disaster recovery, energy resilience, equitable healthcare and infrastructure.
The firm also grew its management consulting practice with the addition of 48 professionals from Blue Beyond Consulting, deepening its ability to connect human capital management with strategy, operations and technology. This move also reinforced capabilities across culture, communications, leadership, organizational effectiveness and change management. The addition of Blue Beyond contributed to the creation of BDO’s People, Strategy & Solutions practice.
Responsible AI
BDO advanced the next phase of its AI strategy in 2025, reinforcing a purpose-driven, people-centered approach to responsible AI adoption and execution. Backed by a more than $1 billion global investment over five years, the firm continued to strengthen governance and learning while accelerating development of proprietary, agentic AI solutions to enhance how professionals work and deliver value to clients.
BDO’s internal generative AI platform, Chat BDO, has saved professionals over 1 million hours, freeing time for high-value, strategic priorities. A 2025 internal survey found Chat BDO boosted client-facing activity by 74%, helping teams deliver enhanced client service. To date, more than half of the firm now uses Chat BDO to enhance their day-to-day work.
Additionally, the firm’s Research and AI Development (RAID) team won the 2026 BIG Innovation Awards. Honored in the innovative team category for its outstanding impact as the firm’s innovation incubator, RAID delivered nine transformative AI solutions in one year by rapidly building and launching tools aligned to firm priorities and measurable business value. RAID is one of several data and AI initiatives driving firmwide digital transformation and operational excellence.
