Executive Summary

Anke is a tax Principal with more than 17 years of experience in BDO's International Tax Consulting group in New York City. Her primary role is advising multinational companies, ranging from public-and-privately held to startups, on cross-border tax planning, including acquisitions, reorganizations and entity rationalization, as well as post-acquisition integration and U.S. inbound expansion planning.

Anke serves companies in various industries such as Technology, manufacturing and  pharmaceutical and life science. Anke is also a member of BD0's technology and life science industry groups.

Anke assists multinational companies with designing practical tax planning and implementation strategies, aligning with the clients' business goals. Recent examples of Anke’s client engagements include IP migration and service supply chain planning, Base Erosion and Anti-Abuse Tax (BEAT) mitigation strategies for large multi-nationals, and repatriation planning to mitigate withholding taxes. She also has material experience in applying Income Tax Treaties and permanent establishment planning. Anke also assists clients with complex U.S. international compliance requirements.

Being a native German speaker and trained attorney in Germany, Anke co-leads the German desk which fosters accessible, timely, and integrated tax-planning advice on U.S./German cross-border investments.
