Executive Summary

Patricia has approximately 25 years of experience working in public accounting. During her career, her responsibilities included serving clients in a variety of industries, assisting with regulatory reporting and requirements, as well as current roles consulting directly with engagement teams on complex matters, and setting firm methodology and related guidance.  

For a significant portion of her career, she led engagement teams in a client service partner role, working on audit and attest engagements for clients ranging from start-up businesses to multi-national corporations, both privately held and publicly traded. In addition to her client service role, she performed technical reviews of financial statements and other corporate documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a regional technical lead and reviewer with the firm’s SEC department. Additionally, Patricia served as a board member of the Auditing Standards Board (ASB), AICPA’s senior committee for auditing, attestation, and quality control applicable to the performance and issuance of audit and attestation reports for non-issuers through early 2022.

Patricia currently serves as a principal in the Professional Practice group of BDO, as the principal lead for Methodology and Consultation. In her capacity as the Methodology Lead, Patricia establishes the firm’s methodology, and leads several global initiatives to update the firm’s audit approach, by focusing on quality audit execution and the development of practical solutions in application.
