Kevin Karo

Kevin Karo oversees Assurance services across the 10 offices in BDO’s west region. Prior to serving in his regional managing principal role, he was a partner in the Las Vegas office and BDO’s national Gaming, Hospitality and Leisure industry leader. Having more than 29 years of experience, Kevin has worked with a variety of closely held and publicly held companies providing internal audit support, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting, and accounting services. Kevin’s previous experience includes providing services to variety of clients in multiple industries; however, his focus was providing internal and external audit services to clients in the gaming and hospitality industry, where he has 22 years of experience.

During Kevin’s career, he has also spent time outside of public accounting where he held positions at privately-owned companies as well as SEC reporting companies. He has held positions as Vice President/Controller for Colony Resorts as part of the transition and operations team for the Las Vegas Hilton, where he was highly involved in the transition of the property from Caesars Entertainment. He has also held the position of chief financial officer (CFO) at a manufacturer and distributor of gaming equipment.
