Julie C. Robins
Tax Principal, Technical Practice Leader – Partnership Tax
Julie has more than 30 years of public accounting experience in the partnership area of taxation. She has worked with partnerships in many different industries, including private equity, technology, real estate and construction, and various operating companies. She also specializes in real estate investment trusts (REITs) and real estate tax planning and compliance. Her clients have included private equity, real estate, and oil and gas funds, engineering and construction companies, commercial and multi-family real estate developers and owners, homebuilders and land developers.
She has extensive experience with complex partnership tax consulting and compliance work including partnership tax allocations, acquisition and disposition transactions, disguised sales, like-kind exchanges, overhead and interest capitalization, percentage of completion and completed contract calculations, and capital gain planning.
Julie has also taught various partnership, REIT, and real estate tax training courses.
