BDO’s Tax Innovation Webinar series is designed to arm tax professionals with the knowledge they need to leverage technology in developing an agile tax department. Tax automation and innovation play an increasingly important role as tax professionals work to manage domestic and global tax policy changes while dealing with resource constraints and talent gaps. Our 2022 series will highlight technology applications across the entire tax function and offer real-world insight and best practices for implementing a tax automation project. We hope you will join us for this series.

Planning, Scoping and Managing a Tax Automation Project: A Case Study

As Werner Co. approached its annual tax reporting cycle, the need for automation was apparent. The company had recently implemented a new financial consolidation system, the source system for many of the tax department’s provision processes. On top of that, there was increased pressure from the C-suite to produce a global effective tax rate on a condensed timeline.
