Vishnu Patwari

In his current role, Vishnu is the Founding Executive Managing Director of BDO RISE, functioning as a CEO and Board Member. He is also an Audit Principal of BDO USA from Asset Management Industry. Vishnu has been instrumental right from the start, conceptualizing the idea and making it a reality, turning BDO RISE into what it is today. He led the BDO RISE initiative since inception and created a dedicated team of professionals serving all service lines (Assurance, Tax and Advisory) located in multiple different offices of BDO RISE. He gained a quick recognition as a strong leader by senior BDO US and India Principals, having established RISE as a BDO USA’s Center of Excellence, scaling up from zero to 1600+ employees in the short span to time.

Before transitioning in the new role, Vishnu Patwari has more than 20+ years of professional experience serving several of complex alternative fund clients in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Dublin (Ireland), ranging from start up managers to multinational, multi billion dollar alternative investment firms. He has deep expertise in the asset management industry, serving corporate investment advisers, investment partnerships, venture capital funds, private equity funds, hedge funds and fund of funds. In addition to his client service role, Vishnu also served as a technical resource for practices. As a key member of BDO’s venture capital and private equity practice, he has assisted in the development of audit approach and in the customizing of audit tools.
