Rusty Butcher

Rusty Butcher is a Principal in BDO’s Administration practice. Rusty works extensively with financial services clients in both auditing and consulting capacities and maintains a strong foundation in audit as a practicing Certified Public Accountant. 

Rusty joined BDO via expansion with HORNE where he previously served as HORNE’s CEO and Managing Partner. Under Rusty’s guidance, HORNE experienced extraordinary growth, evolving into a top 30 CPA firm and a leading professional services provider with team members and clients across the US, Puerto Rico and the Philippines. Prior to HORNE, he began his career at a Big Four firm and advanced to Senior Manager. 

Rusty earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Union University, after attending the University of Alabama. He also attended the Paul W. Barret Jr. School of Banking.
