Executive Summary

Angela Acosta has approximately 25 years of experience in all aspects of state and local taxation, including planning and restructuring of multistate businesses, unitary taxation, audit controversy and appeal, nexus determinations, voluntary disclosure agreements, negotiated incentives, tax credits, ASC 740 and ASC 450 review, litigation support, mergers and acquisition, sales and use tax consulting, outsourced engagements, and unclaimed property. She has knowledge in all areas of state and local taxes and has extensive experience in income and franchise taxes.
Angela leads the Atlantic Region’s State & Local Tax practice. Prior to joining BDO, she served as a Director at Grant Thornton. Prior to that she was the State Tax Leader for DTE Energy, and a State Tax Manager at PwC and Arthur Andersen.
