CHICAGO, October 22, 2026 — The National Wildlife Federation (NWF), America’s largest wildlife conservation organization, and BDO USA, one of the nation’s leading accounting and advisory firms, today announced a new cause partnership and the launch of Rooting for Wildlife, an initiative dedicated to restoring wildlife habitats, revitalizing ecosystems, and helping species thrive for generations to come. Through the collaboration, BDO professionals will participate in local conservation projects, habitat restoration, and community clean-up events across the country.

BDO is proud to collaborate with the National Wildlife Federation on Rooting for Wildlife, an employee-driven initiative that gives BDO professionals opportunities to make a meaningful difference for wildlife and the environment. This cause partnership will deepen our impact within our environment cause area while exemplifying the spirit of care and collaboration that defines our social impact program. Together with NWF, I look forward to seeing our people develop new skills, deepen connections and help communities grow with confidence through supporting conservation efforts and expanding wildlife habitats.

NWF was selected through a firmwide survey of BDO professionals to serve as the firm's second cause partner. This relationship also supports BDO’s broader environmental sustainability efforts and its commitment to be good stewards of the environment in its business practices and in its communities.

“When we save wildlife, we save ourselves,” said Collin O’Mara, president and CEO of the National Wildlife Federation. “And when people and businesses like BDO stand up for wildlife and nature, they can make a real difference. The National Wildlife Federation is excited to work with BDO, its team, and their communities to support thriving wildlife by establishing wildlife habitats and cleaning up the environment.”

As part of their relationship, NWF will help establish a BDO Tree Trust in partnership with Trees for Wildlife™ and plant at least 10,000 native trees annually that will create lasting benefits for wildlife and communities. BDO and NWF also will engage with community partners’ spring plantings and native wildlife habitat restoration programs. BDO professionals will also establish a Certified Wildlife Habitat® at their homes and in their communities alongside efforts at BDO’s offices.
