Adds 25-year Real Estate Industry Veteran Ross Forman as Portfolio Strategy Practice Leader

 
Washington D.C. – March 28, 2017 — BDO Consulting, a division of BDO USA, LLP, one of the nation’s leading professional services organizations, today announced the expansion of its Corporate Real Estate Advisory Services (CREAS) practice, appointing Ross Forman as managing director and leader of Portfolio Strategy. Mr. Forman brings more than 25 years of strategic real estate management experience to his new role, where he will work with clients to evaluate their current real estate portfolio performance and identify opportunities to reduce cost and enhance operating efficiencies. The addition of portfolio strategy and performance optimization services is the latest in a series of moves by BDO Consulting to grow its corporate real estate advisory service offerings.

Along with the expansion, the firm has implemented a new diagnostic methodology which provides real-time, reliable, industry-specific data used for the critical analysis of clients’ real estate assets. The approach streamlines—and significantly expedites—the benchmarking process and provides a deep dive on various factors such as cost, utilization, productivity and flexibility, allowing BDO to develop peer-to-peer comparisons and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and lower costs.

Prior to joining BDO, Mr. Forman served as the global real estate strategy lead at Accenture, where he provided consulting services related to real estate development and planning; portfolio restructuring, positioning and optimization; integrated facilities management; and location strategy, among others. Before Accenture, Mr. Forman was a managing director of real estate and facilities at GSH Group, Inc., the senior vice president of corporate real estate and facilities management at the Staubach Company and GVA Smith Mack & Company, the vice president of real estate at NovaCare, Inc. and the director of real estate at IKON Office Solutions. Mr. Forman graduated from Drexel University with an MBA in finance and a Bachelor of Science in accounting.
