Addressing Continued Media Coverage
In a recent message, I shared our actions to address false reporting in the media, specifically our issuance of a Notice to Going Concern requesting a retraction of their Oct. 13 story. I am pleased to report that, in response to this Notice, Going Concern has removed the article from its website and sent a letter expressing regret for any confusion caused.
Headlines on First Brands are expected to be ongoing, and as we have seen, some will feature BDO and our audit work. It is important to note that no one has suggested that BDO engaged in any inappropriate conduct or otherwise asserted any form of claim against the firm in connection with First Brands’ decision to seek a bankruptcy reorganization. We are committed to transparency, confronting inaccuracies, and providing clarity where we can as developments occur.
