Executive Summary

Paula is a Partner in the firm’s National SEC Practice.  Paula works extensively with engagement teams and the firm’s publicly traded clients in connection with IPOs, business combinations, equity financings, and other transactions. She reviews registration statements and periodic filings for compliance with GAAP and SEC requirements. Paula currently serves a member of the Center for Audit Quality’s SEC Regulations Committee.  In addition, she writes publications and presents technical training courses on SEC developments and related subjects within BDO and for external audiences. 
Prior to joining the SEC practice, Paula was a Manager of Assurance Services in the Chicago office, serving a wide variety of publicly traded and privately held audit clients. She was honored with the firm’s Professional Integrity Award in 2008 in recognition of actions taken that demonstrated an outstanding level of professional integrity in dealing with a client.
Paula also serves as the Central Regional Leader of BDO’s Women’s Initiative and previously led the Chicago office in local efforts for the Women’s Initiative.
