Laurie De Armond

Laurie De Armond is the Operational Excellence Leader for BDO USA’s core assurance practice, where she oversees policy development and methodology advancement while optimizing learning, communications, and engagement project management. She brings more than 30 years of public accounting, operations, and governance experience and serves on BDO USA’s Board of Directors. Previously, as Market Managing Principal for the Greater Washington, D.C./Baltimore market, Laurie led nearly 200 professionals, built high-performing teams, expanded strategic industry practices, and delivered significant growth across the nonprofit, healthcare, real estate, and financial services sectors. She previously served as Executive Director of BDO’s Institute for Nonprofit Excellence (2020-2026) and National Nonprofit Industry Group leader (2016-2026) and is recognized for her people-centered leadership, mentorship, and commitment to the profession and community.
