National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026: Compliance Highlights
BDO’s latest article highlights key government contracting compliance changes in the FY 2026 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), signed December 18, 2025. Notable provisions include efforts to harmonize DoD cybersecurity requirements, new authority to withhold a portion of payments during GAO bid protests, and significant updates to acquisition thresholds—such as higher triggers for certified cost or pricing data (TINA) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) coverage—along with expanded flexibilities for Commercial Solutions Openings and exemptions for certain nontraditional defense contractors.
