Jack Nuckolls is the national technical leader of BDO’s Private Client Services practice. He has more than 30 years of professional experience serving high-net-worth individuals, executives, closely held business owners, trusts, and estates with respect to income, estate, gift, and generation-skipping tax planning and compliance issues. Jack is also the U.S. representative of the BDO International Private Client Services Center of Excellence, responsible for providing tax planning advice on a world-wide basis.
Jack’s extensive experience in tax planning includes:
Estate planning and estate projections for $1.5 billion estate.
Planning for and formation of grantor-retained annuity trust and sale to defective grantor trust in connection with IPO stock with potential value of $400 million.
Assistance with implementation of $15 million dynasty trust for grandchildren to acquire stock in privately held company.
Advice and planning in connection with business succession planning for closely held business interests assigned to executives and family members.
Formation of $100 million charitable remainder trust.
Representation of individual for estate planning in connection with a $200 million estate, including formation of qualified personal residence trusts, family limited partnerships, private foundation, offshore trusts and dynasty trusts.
Jack has conducted professional partner and manager training on a national level in the areas of estate and income tax planning and comprehensive personal financial planning. He has taught these subjects at both Tulsa University and Golden Gate University. He has done extensive public speaking at a variety of venues.
