As the AICPA continues to issue, adjust and refine reporting requirements, BDO explores the most recent SOC 2 Guide and shares what you can do to get ready in our upcoming webinar, The New SOC 2 Guidance and What It Means for Your Company. The updated SOC 2 Guide addresses cybersecurity risks while offering increased flexibility.

The recent changes are significant, and require additional time and attention from the companies who issue SOC 2 reports. While available for use now, the new criteria will be required for all SOC 2 reports with a period ending on or after December 16, 2018.

Given the increasingly interconnected world we live in, the AICPA is also working a guide for SOC for the vendor supply chain industry, BDO will share a preview of what's expected.
Learning Objectives:
  • Review revisions to the SOC 2 Guide
  • Discuss what to do in the interim period before the 2017 TSP takes effect (earlier adoption of TSP 2017 is allowed)
  • Define what is SOC for VSC
