Under the Trump Administration, there have been significant changes to the regulation of foreign investment in the United States. We will examine how the current U.S. tax reform will impact inbound companies, discuss the national security review process conducted by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and current efforts to reform CFIUS, evaluate the national security factors considered by CFIUS when assessing foreign direct investment, and address the implications of the current regulatory climate under the current Administration.
