Executive Summary

Bill has more than 36 years experience serving clients ranging from Fortune 50 to closely held mid market businesses, including domestic, multi-national outbound and inbound groups. He has extensive experience advising on tax and financial reporting for a wide variety of business transactions, tax compliance and planning for corporate and non-corporate transactions. Bill is also experienced in assisting clients with corporate acquisitions, dispositions, reorganizations, and contested tax matters.

Prior to joining the Boston office of BDO, Bill worked at a Big Four Accounting firm where he co-chaired their national tax accounting network (ASC 740) and was a national instructor in ASC 740. Bill was also responsible for leading the review of the ASC 740 aspects for all foreign SEC registrants. He was also the Northeast IFRS leader for accounting for income tax. Bill has also served as an instructor at Bryant University’s Master of Science in Taxation Program, a lecturer at local and national Tax Executive Institute presentations, an original board member and a founder of the Rhode Island chapter of Construction Financial Management Association, and a treasurer of the Rhode Island Chapter of the National Conference of Christians and Jews.
