Executive Summary

Venson Wallin is a Managing Director in BDO’s Healthcare Advisory practice and a member of BDO’s Center for Healthcare Excellence and Innovation.  He is the National Healthcare Compliance and Regulatory Leader.  He has nearly 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, advising clients on enhancements to their financial and operational systems, including providing guidance on compliance measures related to financial performance improvement and internal controls.  Venson has served a range of organizations in the healthcare sector, including hospitals and health systems, continuing care retirement communities, nursing homes, academic medical centers, and physician groups. 

He is well-versed in numerous areas, including Affordable Care Act impact modeling and education, 340B program design and compliance, ICD-10 implementation, federal and state compliance issues, debt capacity and feasibility studies, service line assessments, government reimbursement and chargemaster pricing. Venson has significant experience managing teams through audits, bond financings, due diligence projects and adopting new regulatory accounting provisions.  Prior to joining BDO, he served as an executive at a Big Four accounting firm’s healthcare practice and as the Project Management Officer for its national healthcare reform task force.
