Prior to joining BDO, Sean worked as a transfer pricing economist in the global tax group for a Fortune 20 technology company. He was responsible for their multinational transfer pricing compliance documentation and international tax projects related to intellectual property (IP). Sean also worked in Duff &Phelps’ transfer pricing services group and KPMG’s Economic and Valuation Services practice, providing services to the firm’s clients in New England.
 
Sean’s transfer pricing experience includes valuing IP and legal entities for tax purposes associated with mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures; performing audit defenses related to buy-in and platform contribution transaction payments for cost sharing arrangements; developing a multi-regional cost contribution arrangement for intercompany services; managing transfer pricing documentation for 55 countries for a multi-national company; calculating FIN 48 reserves for multi-billion dollar IP transactions; developing contract manufacturing, limited risk distribution sales agency intercompany restructuring models; developing and testing transfer pricing and tax controls for internal audits; and providing other transfer pricing planning, compliance, and audit-related services.
