Executive Summary

Sandhya (“Saaya”) Shah is a Senior Manager in the New York office of BDO Consulting, supporting the Forensic Technology Services practice with a specialization in electronic evidence seizure, collection, preservation and discovery.  Saaya’s extensive experience includes processing, hosting and managing large volumes of data in document repositories, as well as executing database analysis, data extraction and recovery, data imaging and technology training.  She has completed EnCase training courses and has worked with Discovery Cracker, OutIndex, DT Search, FTK, Concordance, DataFlight, Stratify Attenex, Summation Wave, LAW Pre-discovery and Relativity. Ms. Shah holds several certifications including Certified E-Discovery Specialist, Relativity Review Specialist, LAW PreDiscovery EDD Certification, LAW PreDiscovery Certified Administrator.

Saaya assists counsel with developing assisted review methodologies in order to drive cost savings.  Her experience with assisted review extends across a variety of engagement types, including medical service organizations and bankruptcy matters.  In addition, she manages internal investigations, including the investigation of a large steel company for which she performed extensive data analysis using SQL and Access databases, as well as the electronic discovery of over 500,000 documents.  In a high-profile tax misrepresentation matter, she managed the processing of terabytes of data, as well as nearly two million documents for attorney review.  She works collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, vendors and clients to assist in document and electronic evidence identification, processing, review, and production in connection with litigation matters.
