Executive Summary

Robin Cyrus is a Director in BDO Consulting’s Technology Advisory Services practice. He has more than 25 years of experience in technology and risk management consulting across various industries, including financial services/retail banking, retail/consumer groups, insurance, local and state government, cable and media, and telecommunications.
Robin is experienced in managing large, multi-year, end-to-end IT operational risk and compliance engagements, including cybersecurity risk assessments, information security optimization, enterprise business continuity planning, vulnerability assessments/penetration testing, vendor risk management, identity and access management, governance, risk and compliance programs, IT policies/standards development and implementation, IT vendor/sourcing management, and change management.
Robin has extensive knowledge of regulatory frameworks and guidelines, including National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Federal Reserve Bank (FRB), Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC), Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations (OCIE), and Dodd-Frank. He has implemented cloud/software-as-a-service (SaaS) strategies, OmniChannel IT architecture, IT enterprise architecture utilizing TOGAF, and big data analytics. A seasoned program manager, Robin has led application development and IT governance/project management office utilizing frameworks such as COBIT, as well as traditional systems development life cycle (SDLC)/Agile (Scrum).
Prior to joining BDO, Robin was a leading member of the CIO Advisory Practice at Kurt Salmon, where he leveraged his past experiences at Microsoft, JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup and PwC, among others, to assist clients on a wide range of engagements.
