Executive Summary

Michael Ward has more than 30 years of experience spanning accounting, finance, marketing, strategic planning, and executive leadership positions. Since 2004, he has overseen accounting services and served as an advisory chief financial officer (CFO) to a variety of nonprofit and small business clients with annual budgets of less than $1 million to more than $85 million per year. His Nonprofit industry clients include organizations with federal awards subject to the cost principles and audit requirements of Subpart E and Subpart F of the Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB’s) Uniform Grant Guidance. He has guided the implementation of cost allocation methodologies and negotiated related indirect cost rate agreements. 

Michael serves as a strategic resource to his clients’ management and boards of directors. He brings the additional perspective of having served on nonprofit boards since 2003, currently serving organizations with annual budgets in excess of $200 million and total assets of more than $150 million. He guides budget development and financial analysis, contributes to strategic planning, and provides financial leadership to clients in interactions with funders and regulators in addition to overseeing the accounting function.
