Executive Summary

Joe Burke has over 20 years of business experience, eight of which include mergers and acquisitions. At BDO, Joe oversees transaction service offerings throughout the transaction lifecycle, including target/buyer identification, transaction readiness, diligence and execution, as well as post-transaction implementation.   
Joe has served both private equity and corporate clients in a variety of industries, including government contracting services, aerospace and defense, telecommunications services, healthcare, and for-profit education. He has participated in over one hundred due diligence projects, including stand-alone acquisitions, corporate carve-outs, add-on transactions, divestitures, joint ventures, mergers and industry consolidations, with transaction sizes ranging in size from $2 million to over $10 billion.
Prior to joining BDO, Joe was a Partner at Argy, Wiltse, & Robinson, P.C. In previous positions, he led financial diligence teams and served as the Market Leader for the Transaction Advisory Services Mid-Atlantic practice of a Big Four firm. He has also served as Vice President of Finance at Focal Communications in Chicago where he led many of the cost-savings initiatives during the company’s restructuring and ultimate sale to Broadwing Communications. Joe started his career at Arthur Andersen in Chicago and worked at the private equity firm, Jordan Industries.
