Executive Summary

Craig Witcher has more than 30 years of professional experience and has served in both public accounting firms and law firms, as well as on the corporate side. He is a Managing Director in BDO’s National Tax Office and is responsible for helping the Private Client Services group develop the firm’s family office service capabilities across the country and globally. 
Craig began his career at a Big Eight accounting firm; later, after earning his law degree, he practiced tax and corporate law in Washington, D.C., becoming a partner at the firm of Patton Boggs LLP. He later joined the Case Corporation as Senior Tax Counsel, where he gained extensive experience in the international tax area, helping to structure corporate transactions and joint ventures. While at Case, he was based in Paris for nearly two years, where he was tasked with establishing an internal tax presence in their second-largest region.
Following his tenure with Case, Craig spent 14 years at Amway Corporation, where he held a wide variety of tax and financial roles, including Chief Tax Officer and Corporate Controller, and interim CFO. During this time, Craig worked closely and extensively with the two family offices of the Amway shareholder families.
