Chuck Barragato has over three decades of experience providing tax planning and business advisory services to high net-worth individuals, privately held businesses and family offices. He also provides expert services in connection with business investigations and fraud cases. Chuck began his career in the tax group at KPMG.
Chuck is a frequent contributor to professional publications, including The CPA Journal, The Practical Accountant, The Tax Adviser, Taxation for Accountants, Taxation for Lawyers, Tax Ideas, California CPA, and Practical Tax Strategies and has provided commentary on tax and accounting issues to The Journal of Taxation, Newsday, and The Wall Street Journal. Chuck is an active member of the NYSSCPAs, where he served as past-president of the Suffolk Chapter and received the Chapter's "Distinguished Service Award" in recognition of his outstanding service and contributions.
Chuck is also a member of the College of Business faculty at Stony Brook University. Prior to joining Stony Brook, he was the Director of the LIU-Post School of Professional Accountancy. He has lectured extensively before professional groups and received the Foundation for Accounting Education's “Outstanding Discussion Leader Award,” as well as the NYSSCPA's coveted "Dr. Emanuel Saxe Outstanding CPA in Education Award."
