Executive Summary

Brad Bird is a partner in BDO’s National Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) practice, with more than 17 years of public accounting experience. He works extensively with engagement teams and the firm’s publicly traded clients in a variety of industries, with a primary focus on financial services in connection with initial public offerings (IPOs), business combinations, debt and equity financings, and other transactions. Brad reviews registration statements and periodic filings for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and SEC requirements. In addition, he writes and presents technical training courses on SEC developments and related subjects for both internal and external audiences.
Prior to joining the SEC Practice, Brad was in the Assurance practice, where he audited a wide variety of publicly traded and privately held clients. His responsibilities included planning, performing and supervising financial statement and internal control audits in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS) and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) audit standards.
