Since 2010 the corporate tax landscape in the U.K. has changed dramatically.  As part of the Government’s commitment to creating the most competitive tax regime in the G20, the U.K. has moved to a territorial tax system, dramatically reduced the rate of corporation tax and introduced incentives for high tech businesses, such as the patent box and “above the line” R&D credits.  The U.K. are also participating fully in the OECD’s BEPS project, announcing proposals to introduce rules on hybrid mismatch arrangements, and implementing the “Diverted Profits Tax”.

Join us as Ingrid Gardner, Managing Director of BDO’s UK-US tax desk based in New York, presents a one-hour seminar on the current U.K. Corporate tax landscape.

Specific topics to be covered include:
  • U.K. corporate tax reform
  • Summer Budget 2015 update
  • The proposed hybrid mismatch rules
  • Divert Profits Tax
  • Recent U.K. Supreme Court case dealing with the U.K. tax treatment of US LLCs
7:30 AM to 8:00 AM – Registration & Breakfast

8:00 AM to 9:00 AM – Seminar

Upon completion of this seminar, participants will be able to:
  • Identify the different components of the U.K. corporate tax reform
