Wendy Schmitz has over 15 years of employee benefit plan experience at BDO. She manages BDO’s Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) practice for the Carolinas and serves as Practice Leader for the Atlantic Region. She is also a member of the EPB national practice.

Philip Gooding has more than 12 years of public accounting experience, all of which are with BDO. Philip has significant experience with corporate domestic and international company audits, both public and private, as well as employee benefit plan audits.

Brandon Massey has over 8 years of public accounting experience focused on employee benefit plans, specifically in the manufacturing and higher education industries.

Erica Blomgren is Vice President, Financial Advisor at CAPTRUST and has over 10 years of experience in the industry.  She provides consulting for defined contribution, defined benefit and nonqualified plans and works with plan sponsors to manage their plans more effectively with independent advice on investments, plan design, vendor management, fiduciary process management and participant engagement. 
 
Phyllis Klein is a Senior Director in the Consulting Solutions Group of CAPTRUST Financial Advisors.  Phyllis has overall responsibility for maintaining CAPTRUST’s fiduciary standards, ERISA technical and regulatory issues, and Participant Advice Services in supporting CAPTRUST’s advisors and clients.
