This moderated panel discussion will provide an overview for newer public company board members and serve as a refresher for experienced audit committee members of the requirements of audit committees that builds upon BDO's updated "Effective Audit Committees in the Ever-Changing Marketplace" publication. Specifically, the panel will feature audit committee members and advisors, all of whom have considerable and varying industry experience and will provide their unique perspectives and respond to questions on the WHOs, WHATs, WHYs, WHENs and HOWs of forming and running effective audit committees.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
  • Recognize the key attributes for consideration in determining the composition of a balanced audit committee
  • Describe general and specific responsibilities of an audit committee, under current rules and regulations as well as in emerging practice
  • Recognize additional audit committee resources available to assist audit committees in executing their duties
