BDO USA, LLP invites you and your colleagues to join us for a complimentary, CPE-qualified webinar to discuss the Cost Estimating Techniques under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) regulations.

This webinar will provide an overview of cost estimating techniques and analysis outlined in FAR Part 15 and how these techniques relate to the DFARS Estimating System criteria. Contractors will learn if and when certain requirements apply, as well as requirements for submitting certified cost or pricing data. Additionally, contractors will learn the differences between FAR Part 15 and FAR Part 12 in order to understand when to exert commerciality.

Upon completion for this webinar, participants will be able to: 
  • Give an overview of FAR Part 15 and describe when requirements are applicable.
  • Give an overview of FAR Part 12 and discuss industry updates regarding commercial item determinations.
  • Examine how the cost estimating techniques relate to the DFARS 252.215-7002 criteria and weaknesses in practice may lead to audit scrutiny or a disapproved system.
