John Knotwell

Born to American parents in Subic Bay, Republic of the Philippines, John Knotwell spent most of his childhood in Southern California, near San Diego. John's father was a career United States Navy sailor, who raised John with a fierce sense of patriotism, work ethic, and respect.
 
John is the newly minted Chief Executive Officer for the Utah Technology Council, an industry association supporting more than 6000 technology oriented companies across the state.  As a twelve year veteran in the growing tech community, he has a unique understanding of the blend of sales and community it takes to support continued growth and prosperity in Utah. Previously, John won the CXO of the year, and the 40 Under 40 (and yes, he is still under 40 if only for a few more days).
 
He also represents House District 52 in the Utah Legislature, and is the Majority Assistant Whip. John and his wife Jill have lived in Herriman for 12 years and they are the parents of 5 wonderful kids.
