More Exclusions Granted for List 1 301 China Duties

On May 14, 2019, the United States Trade Representative (USTR) published a Federal Register notice granting exclusions of additional products from the 25 percent duty imposed on the first tranche (List 1) of Section 301 tariffs, or goods worth about $34 billion originating in China.

These exclusions will retroactively apply to goods entered into the U.S. as of July 6, 2018, and will extend for one year after the publication of this notice.

The exclusions are available for any importers whose product meets the specified product descriptions set forth in the Annex to this notice, regardless of whether the importer filed any exclusion request, or if the exclusion has been previously denied.

This is the third USTR notice granting product exclusions to the 25 percent List 1, Section 301 tariffs. The first and second exclusion notices were granted on March 25 and April 18, 2019, respectively. USTR will continue to issue determinations on pending exclusions requests on a periodic basis.
