Refining the Query

If you do not see the document you are looking for in the results, you may want to refine your query. Typically, next to the results, Coveo Enterprise Search will offer several potential ways to refine your search.

For example, you will most often be given the choice to restrict your query to only a specific type of document. Coveo Enterprise Search looks at the results for your current query, and automatically lists the most frequent document types, and displays this information to you along with the number of matching documents for each type.

If you click a suggested document type, your query will automatically be restricted to the type you selected, and the result list will be updated. New suggestions will also be computed so that you can further refine your query.

Changing the Result Page

Another way to look for the correct document when it isn't found on the first result page it to look for it in the next pages. At the bottom of the result list, you will see a list of available result pages. Click on any page (or use the next and previous links) to change the result page.
