This one-on-one advising program was created to foster professional relationships and open communication between seasoned and less experienced employees. The goal of career advising is to assist employees in improving individual performance and to provide a constant, reliable resource to advisees throughout their careers.
My Career Experience
BDO strives to offer its professionals strategic career experiences and promote a culture of coaching. Through a collection of easy-to-use tools called My Career Experience, our next generation of leaders is encouraged to seek out and pair up with other professionals with different skill sets to help build their own.
In-house Certified Professional Education (CPE)
CPE courses are essential to the continued development of accounting professionals. BDO is able to offer our professionals internal technical and non-technical learning opportunities via live face-to-face training, webcasts and self-study courses. BDO strives to ensure that our professionals have the right training at the right time in the right place.
This web-based application provides you with the tools necessary for training and tracking your professional growth. Through eBDU, you will have instant access to online learning courses as well as schedules and details for face-to-face learning events. The system is also a source for performance support and knowledge documents.
BDO Leadership Institute
In this internal leadership development program, high-potential senior managers and directors are invited to participate in an intensive 18-month training program to further develop their leadership, interpersonal and business development skills.
Keys to Success
Keys to Success is a collection of tools and information that help describe BDO’s core competencies, goal setting, My Career Experience and career advisor program. Keys to Success is intended to help our professionals succeed at BDO.
Our volunteerism program provides employees and partners opportunities to enhance their professional experience through teamwork and service with BDO colleagues and members of our communities. By engaging dedicated volunteers in service events that help develop civic leadership and pride, we use our skills and resources to strengthen our business and inspire our people.
Between work and home commitments, it takes a lot to manage everything in our day-to-day lives. BDO understands this and is committed to doing what it can to help make life a little more manageable. BDO Parents, an interactive network of employees and partners who have children, helps working parents navigate the unique challenges and realities they face by providing a forum for them to connect with and support each other locally and firmwide.
BDO Green is our commitment to protect the planet by decreasing our impact on the environment through local and nationally sponsored green efforts, while at the same time reducing operating costs.
Employee Exchange Program
National and international secondments provide opportunities for professionals within BDO USA and other BDO member firms worldwide to gain work experience in different locales, expand on international client relationships, share best practices among offices and develop professional and personal skills in a new environment.
