Recruitment Process
BDO's recruiting process is a step-by-step progression allowing the student to become acquainted with the firm, its people and culture in order to make the best possible career decision.
Geographically, BDO does not limit students who seek positions in offices outside their region. The firm has an in-depth referral process allowing students to work in offices all over the country. Below is a general outline of our recruiting process nationwide.
Introduction: BDO has a number of ways for you to meet our professionals and get comfortable with the office of your choice. Office tours, speaking engagements and meet-the-firm events are just a few ways to meet BDO professionals. Many of our offices conduct unique recruiting events for interested students.
Interviews: BDO requires all students to apply for on-campus interviews through your school's career center website. Usually, on-campus interviews take 30 minutes and are conducted by managers or partners.
In-house interviews: Once on-campus interviews conclude, BDO will invite a second round of students to our offices for additional interviews. Typically, each candidate will interview with three BDO professionals, including a partner, and conclude with a lunch or dinner with BDO associates.
Offers: Unless there are certain unforeseen circumstances, BDO will produce an offer within a timely manner.
Continued communication: BDO strives to make new hires feel comfortable about their career decision. We communicate with new hires on a frequent basis throughout the school year, and new associates should always feel comfortable about contacting us as well.
