Paid Time Off
Starting on their first day at BDO Seidman, employees accrue a minimum of 16 days per year of paid time off for purposes of vacation, illness and personal time. Employees hired at a manager level or above accrue 22 days per year. These accrual rates increase as service with the firm increases. Additional time is offered for bereavement, and, in certain situations, other purposes.
Paid Holidays
In addition to Paid Time Off, BDO Seidman provides employees with thirteen paid holidays each year.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)
FSAs allow eligible employees to pay for specific health and dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars.
Retirement Benefits
Eligible employees can defer a portion of their income to a 401(k) plan. The firm matches 25 percent of the first 8 percent after one year of service. After three years of service, the firm will match 50 percent of the first 8 percent.

BDO Seidman conducts a broad range of excellent in-house continuing professional education courses.
CPA Prep Materials Reimbursement
In addition to offering a number of CPE courses, BDO Seidman reimburses 100% of the cost of CPA prep materials.
Long-Term Care (LTC) Insurance
BDO Seidman offers financial assistance to pay for the care provided at a nursing facility or in an employee's own home. BDO Seidman offers an employer paid base plan and employees have the option of purchasing additional coverage. LTC coverage is open to an employee’s spouse, parents, grandparents, parents-in-law and grandparents-in-law.
Salary Continuation Program
BDO Seidman offers 70 percent of weekly compensation up to $4,000 per week for 12 weeks if an employee is disabled due to an accident or illness. If the employee remains disabled while paying the premium, the insurance continues to pay 60 percent of monthly compensation, with a maximum $20,000 monthly benefit.
Group Life Insurance
We provide basic life insurance coverage up to $100,000, which includes accidental death and dismemberment beginning from the date of hire. Additional coverage up to $500,000 includes additional accidental death benefits and is available to all employees at attractive group rates.
Pre-Paid Group Legal Services
BDO Seidman offers employees a Pre-Paid Group Legal Service Plan. Employees who enroll in this plan can obtain affordable legal services from one of three sources: telephone network attorneys, in-office network attorneys or any other attorney (i.e., a non-network attorney).
Adoption Assistance Program
BDO Seidman provides up to $5,000 to assist employees with eligible expenses associated with the adoption process.
ConSern Loans for Education Program
This program provides low-cost, unsecured loans for tuition payment at educational institutions including private schools, vocational schools and universities.
